Our Technique

Pediatrics

Chiropractic for children is safe and effective.  Techniques used with children are gentle, sometimes with hands, sometimes with an instrument, depending on size, weight, and condition of the child.  Chiropractic is used to support the nervous system, and to properly connect the brain and body.

Functional Analysis Chiropractic Technique (FACT)

FACT is a technique that focuses on improving two of the most important functions of the body: Breathing and movement, specifically walking. The goal of FACT practitioners is to improve breathing efficiency and movement dynamics, with a focus on Breathing Pattern and Gait Analysis to determine the cause of nervous system inefficiency. FACT utilizes both manual and instruments such as an Activator or Integrator to perform adjustments.  FACT practitioners are proficient in caring for those with even the most challenging cases.

General correct breathing patterns is as follows:

  • Breathing initiates at the pelvis/hips
  • The Breathing Wave moves smoothly towards the neck.
  • Breathing wave then changes direction at the chest and moves downward toward pelvis/hips again
  • Ratchety movements are a sign of nervous system compensation
  • Full blocks in the normal Breathing Wave Pattern are a sign of hyperventilation and subluxation.
  • Reversal in patterns (e.g., initiation at chest) are a sign of subluxation.

General correct gait patterns is as follows
